Most of the major airlines provide passengers with travel credits in situations where a refund isn’t possible. This is a way to compensate the passengers & allow them to purchase services from the airline in the future. In the case of Qatar Airways, these are called Qcredits. For more information read this blog about How to use Qcredits Qatar Airways.

What Are Qatar Qcredits?

Passengers can use Qcredits, a reward benefit given to Gold and Platinum members, to pay for a variety of services, including award upgrades, extra baggage on Qatar Airways, award fees, and entry to the guest lounge.

  • Firstly, members of the Gold and Platinum Privilege Club can accumulate Qcredits.
  • You receive 40 credits when you reach Privilege Club Gold, and 60 credits when you reach Privilege Club Platinum.
  • These credits can be used to cover additional baggage fees, upgrading costs, and award fees.
  • For every 100 Qpoints Platinum members earn over 600, they receive 10 bonus credits. (For instance, if you get 700 Qpoints, you’ll receive an extra 10 Qcredits.)
  • Qcredits expire annually, so if you don’t utilize them, you lose them; if you keep your status, they last for two years.
